Many new faces were introduced to the swim team this year, coaches and swimmers alike.  Teachers Susan Kyger and Jillie Schuler became the new coaches, despite being new to the school this year.

“I am so excited to be back in swimming,” Kyger said. “I love the feeling of family in swimming and the ability for anyone to be able to participate in the sport. Improvement can be seen after each event, and I enjoy seeing my swimmers accomplish their goals.”

Out of the 26 swimmers on the team this year, 15 of them are new to the sport.  The new swimmers join a team of returning athletes.  Returning swimmer Valentyna Koudelkova made it to states last year, which gives the team a good goal for the season.  The first meet was Nov. 18, and the season lasts until the state meet in February
