Freshman John Scott is this week’s student of the week. Scott’s favorite thing about Manteo High School is his schedule. He loves all of his classes and enjoys each of them. His favorite subject this year is Biology, but his favorite class is either AVID or gym. He tells us that his favorite teacher is Ms. McKoy. The best thing that happened to him so far at Manteo was homecoming, and the worst was being sick with mono. 

If there is one thing that he would change about Manteo, it is that he wishes he could go to sport workouts while he was still on another team. For example, he couldn’t go to basketball tryouts on the day that they were originally held because he working with the football team. John considers his most notable accomplishment not having a C on his report cards, and he is going to try to get all A’s this year.
